As for the elephants, well, we saw fresh scat and fresh paths they had trampled into the otherwise impenetrable bush, and we even heard some of them not far off, but were strongly advised not to dare follow the unpredictable beasts into the thicket as some local villagers had only a month earlier in what ended up being their last act on earth.
